The old adige that Coventry cannot play well in two games was proved right again as the Sky Blues went down to a 2-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest.

On a sunny, blowy afternoon at the City Ground, this was a crucual game and it showed early on with the Sky Blues certainly looking nervous.

Apart from a seventh minute run and shot fro Alex Nimely, most of the play was at the Bridgford End where the City fans were.

Forest won a number of corners, all taken by Andy Reid who now cuts a portly figure.

Jordan Clarke ,who battled well along with every one else in the City team in the first half, had a go on go in the 32nd minute and the half ended with City on top thanks to two McSheffrey shots and three corners.

The first half had been a game of two poor teams and Forest tried to change that at the start of the second half with a double substitution.

Joe Murphy made a good save from Gunter and Cranie cleared one off the line before Deegan sent a twenty yarder over and a McSheffrey cross on the left led to a corner on the hour.

In the 73rd minute, Forest might have had a penalty. Nothing was given and the ball came up to the end where the City support were.

Gary McSheffrey lost possession to Gareth McCleary and he was allowed to run for seventy odd yards, with players standing off before beating Murphy with consumate ease.

Carl Baker, who today, could not cross his legs, was replaced by David Bell.

Not that it made any difference as with five minutes left, a ball from the right was finished off by Robbie Findley.

That was it and the City support headed for home following another toothless away defeat.
