Coventry City are through to the EFL Trophy Round Of Sixteen with a less than convincing 1-0 win over Crawley Town.

City fielded a changed side and took the lead in the 27th minute, when good work from Jack McBean on the right., played a short ball inside to Marvin Sordell to tap home.

The second half between two very poor teams produced little of note on a night which got colder as time passed and saw Lewis Page off with an injury to his right arm.

The game was watched by a crowd given as 1,338 and the win sees City in tomorrow's draw which takes place at 11.30am.
