Coventry City took their first point of the season with a 0-0 draw at AFC Wimbledon.

Game two of the 2018\2019 season and it was a trip to South West London to face AFC Wimbledon.

On a gorgeous sunny day, those lucky enough to get a ticket in a woeful allocation for a ground which is a basic non-league one at best, made their way to Kingston upon Thames.

Most of the City support on the terrace struggling to properly see the Sky Blues with Tom Davies back and a debut for Amadou Bakayokom a £200k signing from Walsall.

From what I could see, City in the first half had plenty of guile but little end product against a side who had Piggott hit the side netting in the tenth minute walk and a couple of corners whilst Hiwula had one shot saved by King and wasting a 43rd minute free kick which Davies had to clear for a corner.

Piggott planted a header against O'Brien's right hand post before the break.

Bakayoko showed a few nice touches and got in a 54th minute shot which was deflected and cleared by a covering defender.

Bakayoko was replaced by Biamou who had a lovely 25 yarder pushed over by King.

Brendan Mason went off injured for the Sky Blues who had O'Brien make a good save in the 88th minute.

Five minutes were added on but there were no goals and City took a point from a ground where they have yet to lose at.
