A proper football day out with good company.

Coventry City finished their first season back in League One with a 2-2 draw at Notts County.

An eventful season of League One football, saw the Sky Blues travel to Notts County for the final game of the season.

Whilst it may have been a rollercoaster of a season with plenty more twists and turns expected in the coming months, the one constant has been the City support and there was an excellent and very noisy turnout, as there has been since we set off for Yeovil Town back in August, at Meadow Lane in the run down Jimmy Sirrell Stand.

The atmosphere created by the 1477 strong City support before the Sky Blues took to the field with five changes from the team that lost to Leyton Orient, was excellent, although it was no surprise that the SISU Out chants had started well before kick off.

Calllum Wilson got straight into County with a volley which Bialkowski got down to after only 53 seconds and on a pitch that still had the markings from its use by Nottingham's rugby team, Baker had a free kick saved.

Apart from the odd long ranger, City with Conor Thomas and Carl Baker pulling the midfield strings kept a tight rein on Kiwomya's side.

County won two corners but in the 26th minute, another burst of speed from Callum Wilson saw his effort saved.

It was another long ranger which forced Dunn to push over for a corner. That was not properly cleared and with Dunn making another parry, former Nuneaton Town player Tyrell Waite hook home in the 33rd minute from six yards after the ball had come back off the post.

Dunn made a good save and former City loanee Dean Leacock missed with a header before the half came to a close.

Steven Pressley had the chance to change things at the break but went for a like for like substitution with Cody McDonald coming on for Callum Wilson.

In the 48th minute, City's best move of the game saw the ball come over to David Bell on the left. Bell curled a wicked shot on the bar\post which was followed up by Arron Martin having his shot blocked.

City attacked again and John Fleck had the City fans going mental when he fired home from ten yards in the 50th minute.

However, our delight only lasted three minutes as County had a free kick which hit the bar and bounced down for Krystian Pearce to get the home side back in front.

With the police having to intervene after some of Notts County's cyouth team players decided to get mouthy at a large group of City fans, there was little for the City support to enthuse about, so the songs either were about the weight of a steward or support for David Bell, who was having a good game and hit a stunning drive in the 72nd minute which Bialkowski had to push round for a corner.

City had the better of the play and grew even stronger when Franck Moussa came on for Adam Barton.

Bell whipped in a good shot with twelve minutes and Moussa flashed across the other side of the goal four minutes later.

There were four minutes to go and the local constabulary were putting out red and white tape across the away end after the 'On The Pitch' chants had started, when the ball fell for Franck Moussa, who hit a cracking shot which flew into the net and caused pandemonium in the away end.

In stoppage time, Cody McDonald rounded the keeper but fired into the side netting and City ended their season with a point.
