GROUND
Carrow Road is a ground improved by time and rebuilding. Away supporters are housed in the newish side stand which looks more plush than the Main Stand. Either end is double tiered and between the away end and the home Barclay Stand is a newly built hotel.

CITY SUPPORTERS
For one of our longest trips of the season,it was another good turn out. I'd say about eight hundred made the trip and were noisy until the second goal went in.

STARTING FORMATION
With Michael Mifsud suspended, fit again David McNamee was welcomed back into the side.

Norwich boss Glenn Rhoeder had been playing the loans game in the week and fielded Camara, and Pattison as well as former City striker Dion Dublin

When you are bottom of the table and struggling for points.Coventry City proved they are still as charitable now as they have ever been by losing 2-0 at Norwich City.

Back after the international break, the Sky Blue Army reassembled in East Anglia at Carrow Road in the charming city of Norwich. We started in good spirits, after marking the passing of Graham Paddon, with plenty of abuse aimed at Dion Dublin who started up front for a Canaries side whose tally of points so far this season was a paltry nine going into the game.

City, although they lacked a real cutting edge, looked reasonable in the opening exchanges with the midfield quartet all working hard.

Early on,the main problem was in the final third . It was not until the thirteenth minute that City managed their first effort of note when Kevin Kyle leant back and headed over a Michael Doyle corner, before wasting a good chance with a tame header two minutes later.

This was always a game where sky blue chances would be at a premium and the need to make them count seemed to not be first in the thoughts of the Coventry players who were becoming more lacklustre as the game progressed.

Marcus Hall only really got forward once in the first half and that was in the 28th minute when he picked up on a sloppy pass and raced through only to drag the ball well wide of the goal with only the keeper to beat.

In the 33rd minute, Kevin Kyle squandered a good chance. This allowed Norwich to break down the left. Dion Dublin knocked the ball over to Luke Chadwick on the edge of the area. He drove the ball,Dimi dived to his right but the ball went past the keeper and into the net.

The Norwich fans celebrated whilst Michael Doyle who had played for Ireland B in midweek remonstrated with Kevin Kyle.

Coventry now needed to do something to get back in the game but three minutes after the restart,Kyle missed again with a header.

The Scot limped off after receiving treatment following a collision and was replaced by Ellery Cairo, who took up a position on the right wing.

Stephen Hughes was another player who needed treatment and in the 65th minute,he was replaced by Wayne Andrews.

The two subs both combined a minute later for Andrews who has scored seven times for City Reserves this season to glance a header wide.

Norwich had rarely threatened but with fourteen minutes to go they wrapped up the game with a second goal.

This time, some slack defending akin to the sort witnessed at Wembley on Wednesday allowed a cross from the left to come over for the unmarked Jamie Cureton at the far post to smash into the net.

Many of the City support started to head for the exits and missed Andrews in the 83rd minute dispossess David Marshall and try to shoot, only for the custodian to get back and deflect the ball onto the bar for the first of two corners.

Deep in stoppage time, substitution Julian Gray struck a post with a left footed drive but City,as they have done since 1989, left Carrow Road without another league win.
