Coventry City Ladies wrapped up their FA Women's Premier League Northern Division campaign with a 2-2 draw against Wolves.
Watched by a healthy crowd at Nuneaton Borough that included scouts from Birmingham City,Aston Villa,Southam and Nottingham Forest, the Sky Blues took a 25th minute when Michelle Hickmott found space on the left for Laura Healy to knock the ball back to the edge of the area where Sarah Marshall lashed the ball into the net.
Mark Phillips side nearly increased their lead in the 37th minute when a lob from Anna McLeod was pushed onto the crossbar by Wolves keeper Natalie Hall.
A second goal for City arrived three minutes into the second half when striker Katy Ward lashed a left footed volley from twenty five yards in the net with aplomb.
Wolves started to fight back and eighteen minutes from time, they pulled one back thanks to England international Emily Westwood hammering home a free kick on the edge of the penalty area.
Westwood who was always a handful earned the visitors a point in the dying seconds when she rose to head home a corner.
The Sky Blues who will make a full statement on their plans for next season when they have been finalised, are looking for a new First Team Secretary. Interested parties can contact Martin Igoe on 07710 701655 or via email at cclfc@hotmail.com
