Hello all. Having missed the first three away league games for personal reasons that I’d rather not go into in what’s supposed to be a light-hearted blog about transport, urban decay and provincial Wetherspoons (with some football chucked in towards the end) it’s good to be back in the swing of things.
Have I been here before?
A couple of times. I delivered a two hour lecture to Chinese students at the university last month (humblebrag). Fairly sure I visited a mate here about 14 years ago as well, but my memory of that is somewhat hazy.
This is my first footballing trip here though. I attempted to attend Oxford vs Coventry two years ago but it was sold out. I missed out on us getting thrashed 4-1. What an abysmal season that was.
I toyed with the idea of the Tuesday league cup game earlier in the season, but decided to save myself for this instead. Let’s make it a goodun.
