Coventry City suffered their heaviest defeat of the season. losing 6-2 at home to Luton Town.

Easter Monday and a wet day in Coventry, so it was off to the Ricoh Arena to see if the Sky Blues could get three points in their push for promotion, one year to the day after we were enjoying a day out at Wembley and with one of those hero's George Thomas at the game.

Mark Robins brought in Kyel Reid for Jordan Shipley against a Yeovil side which had not played on Good Friday and one which looked fresh from the start and one which set out the intimidation early by having a huddle in the centre circle over the match ball.

It was not raining as the game got underway with an early Clarke-Harris shot flashing wide.

The Glovers were the first side to win a corner which came in the fourth minute. The ball came over deep,. It was knocked back to Alex Fisher who rifled home from a couple of yards out at the North Stand end.

Clarke-Harris fired wide before Yeovil should have had a second goal when Jared Bird flashed a shot wide of Burge's right hand post from 18 yards.

In the tenth minute, they did have that second goal when François Zoko was left free to drill a shot low past Burge.

Vincenti hooked a shot over but in the 14th minute, Haynes stood and allowed Alex Fisher a header and then the opportunity to smash the ball into the net for the Glover's third goal.

There were jeers as Reid fired well wide as the smattering of away fans demanded to play City every week and Wing, totally unmarked, drove over for a Yeovil side in complete control in a game less than twenty minutes old.

Ten minutes later and Reid put in a decent cross and McNulty headed wide.

The City support tried to lift the players but a short pass played in Fisher who won a throw.

Robins decided he had seen enough of Peter Vincenti and replaced him with Max Biamou.

Reid, who seemed intent on setting himself up for a screamer, had a shot blocked and Biamou ran in a minute later to fire at Nelson in the 36th minute.

Fisher had the ball in the net in the 39th minute with a diving header but thankfully the flag was up for offside and City were booed off at the break being three goals to nil down.

Some took that as their cue to leave whilst Mark Robins swapped keeper's, playing Liam O'Brien for the second half which started with a goal for the Sky Blues thanks to Tom Bayliss cutting the ball back for Max Biamou to slot home from close range at the North Stand goal.

The City support kept with the team who had dropped out of the play-offs.Reid drove at Nelson and Bird fired over at the other end.

Ten minutes in and François Zoko was allowed to get past a City defence and thump a shot low past O'Brien before celebrating with his team's support for Yeovil's fourth.

A City corner was cleared as was another one in the 61st minute.

Biamou dived to head over but in the 67th minute, he scored the goal of the game with a stunning volley from twenty five yards which screamed into the net.

City were lifted and backed by the home support with the club claiming 8,787 tickets were sold. McNulty dragged the ball across the box as "Go For It City" rang out.

Josh Barrett came on and won a corner, McNulty had a shot blocked and then an effort cleared off the line.

With ten to go, Yeovil hit a fifth when Sam Surridge got through and beat O'Brien with comsumate ease.

Biamou struck Nelson"s left hand post against a Yeovil side lining up to shoot in a game which was ended with a second for Sam Surridge with a well taken finish in the last of the five minutes of stoppage time and City's heaviest defeat of the season.
