Coventry City won away 2-1 at Oxford United.

The Sky Blues went into this game, moved by Sky, having dropped into the relegation zone and a point above second from bottom Oxford who Included former City youngster Josh Ruffles in their starting line up.

Mark Robins, who this week has been spelling out his long term wish for the club, gave Conor Chaplin his first start.

Yet again, the first half failed to produce a goal for the 774 City supporters who had paid up to £24 plus booking fees for a ticket in a ground, which never looks like being finished off.

In the 64th minute, City took the lead through Jordan Shipley who got the ball off Chaplin and hit a shot which was deflected into the net.

Eight minutes from time, Jordan Shipley was fouled and Conor Chaplin slotted home the resulting penalty before he was substituted.

Obika scored what proved to be a consolation goal as City took their first away win of the season.
