Coventry City won their final game of the season since 2006 with a 3-1 win over Sheffield United.

Tony Mowbray changed his team from the one which lost at Doncaster and started with George Thomas up front.

However, it was Adam Armstrong who had City ahead in the fourth minute when his shot from the edge of the area took a wicked deflection off Marc Antoine Fortune and went into the net.

Four minutes later and it was two when Andy Rose scored from a Joe Cole ball.

United pulled a goal back in front of a crowd of 13,177 with a 57th minute Billy Sharp penalty but three minutes from time, City wrapped up the win when Ruben Lameiras fired home for a 3-1 win.
