City Nowhere Near Posh Enough

Coventry City were beaten 3-1 at Peterborough United tonight.

At London Road, the City support which included supporters from Denmark, Newcastle and Bristol. To name but a few places saw a City side which had Jacob Murphy strike the post in the 11th minute.

City controlled the play winning a stack of corners and keeping Alnwick busy. 

However, just before the half ended, City were a goal down when Marcus Bostwick scored from a corner.

City fielded Jodi Jones for the second half which saw some poor defending allow subsitute Lee Angol score a second in the 61st minute.

Jacob Murphy hit the post and then City attacked and Joe Cole slotted home to get City back in the game. 

However, the joy was not to last and the City defence allowed Harry Beautyman to score a third for Posh and virtually end City's promotion chance unless there is a drastic improvement at both ends of the pitch.
