---------------------
Coventry City might be better a year on without Steven Pressley but the Scot had his revenge as his Fleetwood side won 2-1.

Tony Mowbray fielded an unchanged team for this game against Steven Pressley's side on an afternoon that was quite cold as the sun went down.

With former City player and twice manager Bobby Gould in the stands, the Sky Blues took to the pitch needing a victory.

Adam Armstrong was first to show against a Fleetwood side, followed by a head counted 56 fans and playing six at the back, with a shot over on 3.40.

A lovely Maddison cross was flicked away before City won a ninth minute corner.

Armstrong fired over from the edge of the area again as Pressley bawled at his players who struggled to get anything from City's defence.

Vincelot fired at Chris Maxwell before the visitors from north of Blackpool won a 17th minute corner.

Hunter dragged a shot wide before Vincelot was needlessly booked by Mr Davies for a foul of Saracevic.

Murphy drove wide and in their next attack on the half hour mark, Joe Cole with a lovely ball helped win a a corner.

Cole's class stood out, helping Murphy to earn City a free kick in the 34th minute. Vincelot met Maddison's kick with a header but Maxwell dived to push away.

The City players were lining up to shoot but the visiting defence were somehow getting men behind the ball.

Stokes won a 40th minute corner and Pressley threw a wobbler when his side did not get a penalty before the half ended.

Attacking the end where the Fleetwood support was for the second half and with the floodlights on, Maddison curled wide.

John Fleck got back to deal with an attack down the left but in the 55th minute, Saracevic floated in a cross which Wes Burn threw himself at and headed the ball past Charles-Cook on his right hand side.

The City support who had been expecting the Sky Blues to win easy, were fuming and it got worse as the visitors had more attacks.

Mowbray decided to go for a triple substitution and took off a poor Jacob Murphy along with Maddison and Cole, bringing on Fortune, Tudgay and Ruben Lameiras, who recently had an outing for City U21's at Sheffield Wednesday.

Pressley sent on Devante Cole, son of Andy for the last twenty minutes and he fired at Charles-Cook.

In the 74th minute, City were level when they attacked down the right. The ball came over and Marcus Tudgay fired home from inside the area, bringing a look of disgust from the man that signed him.

A free kick sailed over with just over ten to go for the Sky Blues.

Pressley sent on Shola Ameobi and in the 83rd mnute, he was involved in a move which drew a great save out of Charles-Cook.

The ball came loose and David Ball smashed it home to give Fleetwood a victory few predicted.
