Coventry City were beaten 1-0 at Sheffield United

The Sky Blues, who were backed by a good support, despite this game being live on Sky whose consideration of match-going supporters leaves a lot to be desired, fielded an expected team

City played in red shirts, white shorts and whte socks, spent the first half having lumps kicked out of them by a Blades side which was thankful to Long who saved from Adam Armstrong.

Lameiras had a shot pushed over in a second half which saw Joe Cole come on for the last half hour.

In the 79th minute, United won a corner and Billy Sharp headed in to send City who had Sam Ricketts sent off, to defeat.
