Agyei Taps In But City Lose Again

Coventry City went down to another heavy defeat losing 3-1 at Southend United.

Mark Venus opted for a 4-3-3 formation but his side were a goal down in six minutes when a run into the area was not dealt with and Anthony Wordsworth fired home from the edge of the area.

City lost Lee Burge to injury and with Charles-Cook in goal, Southend scored a second through Anton Ferdinand in the 63rd minute and a third through Stephen McLaughlin off the post in the 69th minute.

The City support continued to tell Mark Venus, who had complained to the police about some of the City support after the defeat at Cambridge United, to sack himself and told the Southend fans their team was nothing special as the team lose every week.

However, again many of the City support had a reason to leave the game and many missed Danny Agyei tap in from a Jones cross as City went down to a 3-1 loss.
