A Coventry schoolboy will benefit from money raised by the Jimmy Hill Tribute Appeal.

The appeal for a more than lifesize statue of Jimmy Hill which will be located out the entrance to the Ricoh Arena Ticket Office and Club Shop, has been set at £150k but any more raised by the appeal launched today will go towards funding the scholarship of a City Academy player, who will be Coventry born.

The idea for a lasting tribute to Jimmy Hill who not only transformed Coventry City and took the Sky Blues into the top flight, is another example of supporters and the club working together and came from an idea raised at an SCG meeting.

The appeal for the Statue to be fashioned by world renowned sculptor Nick Dimbley ends on July 31st and you can find details of how to make a donation by clicking on the link below.
