Coventry City's Conor Thomas has said that the players have to accept being substituted.
Captain Carl Baker did not look happy when he was replaced on Tuesday night at Bristol City and Thomas told the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole: “Bakes had his sulk for five minutes but he’s been fine since!
“The gaffer didn’t bring them off because they weren’t playing well - they were probably our two best players on the night – but the way the game went in the second half we needed some fresh legs.
“Whenever you’re taken off your first reaction is ‘why me – I’m playing well’ but you know it’s being done for the right reason and you have to accept that.”
