Chris Anderson, your comments to the Coventry Telegraph: “I think it’s important people understand that it’s never just about the cash up front for a player like James who is still developing and who will hopefully follow a trajectory that will be very successful" are so wrong.
Are you naive enough not to know that very few clubs actually get any of these add-ons? Coventry City is one club whose history is littered with money they never got from players sold for a few quid up front.
If the answer to that is yes, then not getting the maximum amount up front in cash for James Maddison from Norwich City makes you look rather incompetent.
