The Adams Park based club, according to a report in The Times paid £4,000 for items including brass fire exit signs, shelving, a walk-in fridge, ovens, stainless steel tables, a freezer and some glass pie-warmers.

Richard Stanford, the Wycombe safety officer, said: “We bid for the stuff on a website and went up to Coventry in a big lorry to pick it up. The equipment we have bought would have cost us around £20,000 or £30,000 new.”
