Worcester City manager Carl Heeley is confident that his side will not be overawed in Sunday's FA Cup First Round tie against Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena.

Heeley, whose testimonial game was against Coventry City, said to Worcester News: : “We are going to a fabulous stadium with a large support and I am hoping we can give a good account of ourselves and not get overawed by the occasion.

“I am confident the lads won’t get overawed because we have got some good footballers who work very hard for each other and could easily make the step up to play full-time football.

“We have a strong squad and it’s going to be difficult to select the starting 11 and the seven substitutes for the match.

“I have to give full credit to the players — they have made mine, Matt Gardiner and John Snape’s jobs very difficult in picking the squad.

“There is huge belief in the squad and we will give it our best shot and, with the players we have, there is a genuine belief that we can make something happen.

“Goalkeeper Jose Veiga has got a nasty gash on his knee and will miss out — so we have signed a couple of extra goalkeepers.”
