Coventry City defender Richard Wood is set to face the team he first joined as an eleven year old this afternoon when the Sky Blues take on Sheffield Wednesday at the Ricoh Arena.

"It is going to be weird but I am looking forward to it, " said Wood to the CT. "I just want to play well and make sure that Coventry get three points. I am looking forward to seeing players I have played with most of my career as it has been my only club.

"I am sure I will have a bit of banter with them beforehand and I have got some really good friends there and it will be good.

"I'm not sure what reception I will get from the Owls fans. I hope it will be good but we will have to see. I think I was a good servant for the club and it was my only club since I was eleven and I was in the first team since I was 17, but players move on. It is not often that you see players stay at one club for all their career.

"I was disappointed to leave but I am really excited about the game, it is going to be weird for my family as they are all Wednesday fans. They are all coming down so hopefully it will be a good day and they will be cheering me on."
