Women's FA Cup Comes To Cov

In preparation for Coventry City Ladies Women's FA Cup third round tie with Wolves on Sunday and thanks to Alex Stone at The FA, he arranged for the Cup to be sent up with two burly security guards who never left the cup out of their sights!
BBC Midlands Today kicked off the day, and at the same time the groundsman hackles were rasied after the players stepped on the grass for their shoot as the pitch had been 'brushed'...not a good start but a great piece on the news though! Telegraph then did their pics, then off to Christ the King Juniors, with another camera from the BBC and then on to Cardinal Newman where a total of 1,000 tickets were presented to the schools.

Sadly, Central TV were unable to send a camera to cover Captain Natasha Lynch returning to her former school. New sponsors Archer Bassett were paid a visit with the new kit. The cup accompanied the team to lunch at Nandos where other diners were delighted to see silverware back in the City again!

BBC's Bob Brolley was next up..."well girls you really are fit" he pronounced. Coach Stuart Wilson nodded in agreement, thinking more about their endurance and technical abilities that appeared far from Brolly's mind!
A visit to Cannon Park shopping centre and sports provider Blairs delighted more shoppers, before finally finishing back at the Ricoh with the Executive team who have been so kind in resourcing the day ahead.
Well done to Stuart Wilson, Natasha Lynch, Emma Lipman and Nat Wilcox for a great day's work in front of the cameras and microphones representing the club brilliantly and professionally, a real credit to the game. Thanks to Nigel Hart at Advent Communications for fixing much of the day with support too from Jo Lumani and Jenny Wilkes.
Tickets on sale at the ticket office £2.50, or get a free pair of tickets when attending the mens game versus Stoke on Saturday. Make a day of it and book your Sunday lunch in the carvery for just £8!
