BBC Radio Swindon are reporting that Dennis Wise is in talks to become the next manager of Swindon Town.
The midfielder whose only managerial experience is at Millwall where he along with Ray Wilkins guided the Lion to an FA Cup Final and UEFA Cup appearance, is expected to be named as Swindon boss by the end of the week.
Wise who scored six goals for the Sky Blues was released by Micky Adams last week.
Meanwhile,former City player boss Terry Butcher has been appointed as manager of Australian A-League side Sydney FC.
Butcher who had been combining his media work with the role of Motherwell manager,takes over from Pierre Littbarski who could not agree a new contract for the season which starts on August 27th.
Former City defender Gary Breen has been released by Sunderland.
The Mackems have been forced to cut their cloth following relegation to the Championship and Breen is the biggest casualty of the cuts.
