Win Over Cambridge Sends City Fourth

Coventry City are up to fourth in the League Two table after the 3-1 home win against Cambridge United.

The Sky Blues have fifty points from twenty nine matches and are a point behind third placed Notts County.

City are still ten points behind leaders Luton Town who were beaten 3-2 at home by Wycombe Wanderers who have moved up to second and are eight points behind the Hatters.

Swindon Town are sixth thanks to a 1-0 win at Stevenage and Lincoln went eighth after beating Newport County 3-1.

Grimsby Town, managed by former City boss Russell Slade, had two players sent off in a 3-0 defeat at Yeovil Town.

Coventry City earned nine points out of twelve in League Two matches in the month of January.

The Sky Blues beat Chesterfield, Swindon Town and Cambridge United at home but lost to Exeter City away.

RUSHALL MIGHT HAVE BEATEN CITY BUT THEY GO OUT AS WELL 

Rushall Olympic, who knocked Coventry City out of the Birmingham Senior Cup, were knocked out of the competition tonight.

Rushall drew 1-1 away to Alvechurch but lost on penalties.
