Win Lifts City Up A Place

Coventry City's 1-0 win at Oldham Athletic this afternoon lifted the Sky Blues up a place to 22nd in the League One table.

City's first win of the season, means they are now two points ahead of bottom placed Bury who drew 2-2 at Stevenage after leading and meaning that during the game, Mark Robins side were actually bottom of the table.

City have gone above Hartlepool United who were beaten 3-1 at Colchester United and now only below Oldham who have dropped into the bottom four on goal difference.

Tranmere Rovers stay top despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Brentford. They are ahead of Notts County who drew 1-1 at Sheffield United.

MK Dons who travel to the Ricoh Arena on Tuesday night are third after a 1-0 win over Crewe, whilst a 1-0 win over Shrewsbury lifted Swindon to fourth place.

Walsall who won 2-1 at AFC Bournemouth are sixth, a point ahead of Crawley who won 2-0 at Carlisle United. 

Elsewhere, Doncaster won 2-0 at Leyton Orient, Portsmouth beat Scunthorpe 2-1 and Preston beat Yeovil 3-2.
