Coventry City striker callum Wilson has been named as the league One Player of the Month for March.

Wilson earned the award because of his seven goals in seven games and is now the top scorer in League One, despite missing two months of the season with a shoulder injury.

Sky Blues manager Steven Pressley told the club website, "I'm absolutely delighted for Callum. His work ethic and determination have been second to none all season and it's really pleasing for me to see him getting rewarded.

"To see the way he has got himself straight back into scoring form after more than two months out is a testament to the boy and he fully deserves to be recognised for it.

"If he continues to apply himself in the way that he has I'm sure this will be the first of many."

Wilson beat off competition for the award from Sheffield United's midfielder Michael Doyle, Notts County striker Ronan Murray and Rotherham full back James Tavernier.
