Luke Williams has paid the penalty for Swindon Town being relegated to League Two.
Williams took over in March 206 and was head coach with former Coventry City midfielder Tim Sherwood, who has distanced himself from the club recently.
Williams who had a five year contract, left the County Ground with Swindon issuing the following statement: "Following our relegation to League Two, reviews have taken place and, as a result, the football club and Luke Williams have mutually agreed to go their separate ways.
"The club would also like to confirm that the search for a new candidate to take the club forward is well under way and we will issue a further update in due course."
