A poll on this site came out in favour of Elliott Ward, whilst Scott Dann was Coleman's choice of captain for last week's matches in Switzerland.
Said the City boss to the CT: "I have kind of decided on my captain but you have to be a bit careful because it can be a bit heavy on some people.
"I think I know who I am going to give it to but we have got another two or three weeks left and three games. "I was looking at someone last year and maybe it's a bit soon for him. I don't know, because maybe he will suffer at the start of it, but as he progresses - and he will progress - I think he will be the right choice.
"I won't say anything at the moment because I haven't sat down with him properly and it is maybe a little bit of a gamble to give it to him at the minute."But eventually I think he will be a very good captain, so maybe I will take that risk."
