Chris Wilder is set to become the new manager of Northampton Town.

Wilder is due to replace former Coventry City manager as manager of a Cobblers side which are not only losing supporters to their higher league tenants but one that is in real danger of completely dropping out of the Football League.

Northampton will have agreed a compensation package with Oxford United for the services of Wilder and have been given permission to speak to a man who was appointed at the Kassam Stadium in December 2008.
