Whitestone In Charge Of Game Against Backpool

The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's Championship home fixture against Blackpool on Saturday is Dean Whitestone.

A member of the Northamptonshire R.A., the 31 year old started his refereeing in Northampton and is the son of a Class One Referee, who used to take him to matches. He was appointed to the Assistant Referees List in 2001 and the full Referees list in 2005/06.

His last match was Macclesfield's game against Morecambe on Tuesday night and his last City game was the 1-0 win against QPR last season. 

He was also in charge of City's 1-1 draw against Southend on 30/12/06.  In those two matches a total of seven players were booked with no red cards shown.

Assistants are Steve Martin from Staffordshire & Rob Merchant from Staffordshire.   The Fourth Official is Guy Stretton from Leicestershire.
