Andy Whing will join Brighton on July 1st.

The defender who was released by Iain Dowie in April is expected to sign a two year deal at the Withdean Stadium after impressing during a loan spell last season.

Both Brighton's manager and Chairman seem happy with the deal. Dean Wilkins said:"We're really pleased to have secured Andy next season. "He was involved in our most successful period last season and we're looking forward to continuing that relationship in the future."

Brighton Chairman Dick Knight is quoted as saying: "That's a good bit of business done. We had a £60,000 offer for him turned down in January and we've faced fierce competition from a Championship club and a host of League One clubs."
