Whelan Joins Boston

Micky Adams' worry about Noel Whelan roaming around the streets of Ibiza during pre-season are over.

The former City striker who was released last month by Aberdeen has joined Boston United. Whelan who has played for Leeds,Coventry, Middlebrough, Derby and Millwall before a spell of just over a year at Aberdeen is seen as a replacement for Andy Kirk who left the York Street side for Northampton.
