Wheeling And Dealing To Continue

Coventry City are expected to announce that they will off-load more players during the summer. With the takeover by Manhatten Sports Capital not so far having been completed, Dowie and Flowers have little choice but to wheel and deal in order to bring in the players they want.

Said Flowers to the CT: "We had to look at the players as soon as we came in to the club and for the last ten weeks we have put together a pool of players that we want.

"Obviously some of those are going to cost money and at the minute that is money we haven't got. "But we also had Plan B which was Bosmans and loans and that kind of thing - we are looking down those avenues and have got one or two things that are very close.

"But, I would emphasise, when the money is in place we want to go and get the ones that will excite the people. "The feedback we get is that they are expecting that to happen in the summer and that's also what we want. "So the sooner the better as far as we are concerned."
