Coventry City captain Kevin Kilbane has said that the players have not done enough for themselves, the club and supporters of late.

Speaking to the CT's Andy Turner, the City captain said: "You have to look at yourself when you come off the pitch. You ask whether you could be doing more; I certainly do and I feel I haven't been doing it of late.

"We have not done enough for Richard Shaw, whether he was going to get the job or not, when he was in charge and we have not done enough for ourselves.

"The club and the supporters pay our wages and we haven't done enough in recent weeks and we all accept that.

"But hopefully, the new manager coming in can change things and put us in a positive mindset."
