Westwood In For Ireland Challenge Match

Coventry City goalkeeper Keiran Westwood is in the Republic Of Ireland's developmental squad to face Championship side Nottingham Forest in Senior Challenge match on Thursday night.

The game will be played at Dalymount Park (7.30pm) and will give Eire boss Giovanni Trapattoni plus assistants Marco Tardelli and Liam Brady, a chance to look at players for the full squad.




Said Trapattoni to the FAI website: "This game will give me an important opportunity to work closely with many of our talented players. We have another eight games ahead of us in our challenge for World Cup qualification and I have no doubt that some of this squad will be called upon to play their part."
