West Orchard Club Shop To Close

Coventry City have announced that they will be closing their shop in West Orchards Shopping Centre on Thursday May 29th. Again cost is the reason behind the decision which will inconvienence many Coventry based supporters for whom the shop and ticket outlet was the easiest club outlet. With the club already paying for the superstore at the Arena, it is understood that SISU do not wish to pay two lots of rent plus electric etc and have decided to close the shop which moved to West Orchards from Cathedral Lanes in the late 1990's. Ken Sharp felt that the shop was not commercially viable and said that the club were focussing their attention on the retail operation at the superstore at the Arena as well as developing a more comprehensive on-line store.
