Some 270+ people in the West Midlands with banning orders will have to surrender their passports for the course of the up-coming European Championship.

Around 2500 people in England will have to surrender their passports on May 21st and 22nd to designated police stations, as police attempt to stop anyone going to Poland and the Ukraine who may cause trouble.

The Association of Chief Police Officers has said that a team of 24 officers will be deployed for the tournament. They will not have powers of arrest abroad but will be able to pass on intelligence for use in British courts.
