Rotherham United manager Andy Scott has said that Adam Le Fondre stopping with them is fine by his chairman.

There has been interest from Coventry City, Sheffield Wednesday and other Championship clubs as well as reports linking the 24 year old who confirmed he has not submitted a transfer bid with moves to Celtic and Rangers.

Scott said to The Star: “We have been strong over this. There has been an increase in interest and if I was him I wouldn’t consider Sheffield Wednesday considering the other clubs that are interested, including Championship clubs.

“He’s a goalscorer and he can score goals at any level.

“Our valuation of ALF has never changed. If we don’t get it then the chairman is quite happy for him to stay, score 20 goals and go on a free next year.”
