We'll Take The Point - Mowbray

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that he'll take the point from the 2-2 draw against Southend United.

Speaking to Andy Turner of the Coventry Telegraph, Mowbray said: “We’ll take the point; that’s ten from five games and if you can do that all season that should be enough to win you promotion. The next game’s round the corner and we’ve got to make sure that we’re not so easy to get at, that we don’t concede goals from set-plays when we’ve worked so hard to improve that part of our game.

“It was one of those nights and once again I have to mention the fans. When we come out of the tunnel and see that big mass of them in the opposite stand it really lifts the players.

“We have got to try to maintain that, keep the entertainment standards high but try to make sure that we don’t have too many goals flying into our net.

“Let’s work on what we’ve got to improve, keep winning football matches and stay at the top end of this league.”
