I first met Brian when he was involved in the Northampton Town Trust who became the first Trust to take over a football club back in 1992 when he attended a few Football Supporters Association meetings at the Wyken Working Mens Club in Coventry.
A modern day version of Herbert Kendall who founded the Coventry City Supporters Club and the National Federation Of Supporters Clubs, Brian was a leading light in the setting up of Supporters Direct.
Brian has the Chair of Supporters Direct, the national organisation for football and sporting Supporter Trusts since 2005 and was previously, the managing director.
I congratulate him on this well deserved award.
