Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has said that he will be guided by medical experts over David Bell.

Coleman played the winger for 62 minutes against Ipswich Town on Sunday and admits that the gamble didn't really pay off.

"I think we are going to have to bite the bullet," said Coleman to the CT. "We'll have a conversation with his surgeon and be guided by him as to what we're going to do and when, but it looks as if we're going to have to pull him out and get some more surgery on his ankle.

"That could put him out for a month to six weeks, but the sooner we get him in for the op, the sooner he'll be back.

"He's shown he's a quality player, but he'll be even better when we can sort him out.
