Wednesday have refused to listen to any offers including player exchanges after it was announced that any money from the sale of players would have to go directly to the Hillsborough based club's bankers rather than to manager Brian Laws to spend on players.
Said Ray Ranson to the CT: "We are disappointed not to have been able to do anything as far as Richard Wood is concerned.
"He has been a long term target of the manager but Wednesday are loathed to sell any player at any price.
"We will have to review the situation in a few months."
