Coventry City's Development Director Steve Waggott has wished Clive Platt all the best after the forward turned down City's offer and accepted a two year deal at Northampton Town.
Mr Waggott told Sky Blue Player: "Andy Thorn expressed his intention to Clive that he wanted him to remain at the club but ultimately there was disparity on the length of contract the player wanted and what the club was preparded to offer.
"I'm sure I speak for the manager when we wish Clive the best of luck at Sixfields."
