Coventry City have insisted that they will be paying the £590k that is owing to Arena Coventry Limited.

The money is the money that the Football League ordered City to pay as part of their membership of the Football League being accepted for another season.

Speaking to SImon Gilbert of the Coventry Telegraph, City's Independent Non-Executive Director Mark Labovitch said: “Absolutely, the club will comply with that agreement.

“The CVA offered that sum to ACL and they rejected it and wanted to have a liquidation.

“At the end of the process that amount will be paid to ACL.

“Nobody has any intention of dishonouring that agreement, it will be paid when the liquidation is complete.

“There is absolutely no intention not to honour the agreement with the Football League.”
