We Will Have To Dig In - Cork

Coventry City loanee Jack Cork has said that City will have to dig in and scrap for a victory against Peterborough United at the Ricoh Arena tomorrow.

City face The Posh for the first time in a league match since 1963 when the sides were both in the third division and Cork told the CT: “I think Wednesday’s performance will give us a lot more confidence but it is going to be a completely different to Newcastle and will be more like the Scunthorpe game.

"We will have to dig in and battle because we won’t have much time on the ball anywhere and it is going to be a bit ratty.

“Sometimes it’s easier to play against better teams because they don’t go running round getting in your face.

"It is a bit more tactical and more like a game of chess with each side picking their moves carefully with a bit more time on the ball.

"But lower league teams have got a lot to fight for and they really go for it, so it is going to be a hard game and we have got to be right at it in a game that is a lot more important than Wednesday’s match.”
