Coventry City defender Jordan Clarke has said that both he and Andy Webster will do their best to stop former City forward Cody McDonald from scoring for Gillingham tomorrow.

McDonald, who never really settled in Coventry after being brought to the club by Andy Thorn, returns to face the Sky Blues tomorrow  for Gillingham.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Clarke said: "Cody is a good player and a very nice guy but, obviously, when we step over the white line I don’t wont him to score and me and Webby will do our best to stop him.

“He’s a very different striker to most and he gets into some great positions. He doesn’t always get the service but he’s still a very good striker and I know that from training with him.

“Obviously he didn’t get as many goals as he would have liked at Coventry but I hear he’s playing well at Gillingham and we have to make sure we nullify him on Sunday.”
