Coventry City manager Chris Coleman said that his side were not good in the first half of City's 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday at the Ricoh Arena this afternoon.

"We weren't good first half. We come out of the blocks slowly and while Sheffield Wednesday looked like a side fighting for survival we looked like a side with nothing to play for and that is not us," Coleman said to Sky Blue Player.

"I'm only interested in winning football games and we didn't have the right mentality for that in the first half.

"The lads are tired to be fair but if we want to get three points out of games in the future then we are going to have to be much better than we were in the first half.

"Credit to the lads in the second 45 minutes though because we had a bit more purpose and created a few good chances and even when we went a goal behind their heads didn't drop and we ended up with a great goal from Richard Wood.

"I thought he showed tremendous sportsmanship not to celebrate his goal but that's the measure of the man and I'm sure he knows that while his goal took two points off his old club fighting for survival, the point his goal earned us is equally as important because it keeps us in the top half of the table and fighting to finish as high as we can."
