Coventry City caretaker manager Andy Thorn thought his Sky Blues side were very good at Derby County apart from a five minute spell.

Speaking to the Sky Blue Player after the 2-2 draw at Pride Park, Thorn said: "I thought we were very good. We had a poor five minutes but for the other 85 minutes I thought we were very good.

"We started like a house on fire and moved the ball a lot, we did what we wanted to do and got infront and looked comfortable but then we conceded from the free kick and then the penalty but it was important for us because lots of teams would've gone under and we didn't dwell on anything got stuck in again in the second half.

"I told the lads how well they'd done in the first half and I was really proud of how they responded in the second half. We had plenty of chances and it was entertaining stuff.

"We just had a mad spell of five minutes but it's still early days and we will learn from it but we've got to move on because I thought we put on a really good performance today. We came into Derby's back yard against a good team and I thought we were very good.

"We'll go to Pompey now and try to do the same and get some points. Today was disappointing in one way but there was so many positives to take from it at the same time. The support was fantastic again, spurring us on. It was edge of the seat stuff and to get a standing ovation at the end of it was fantastic."
