Coventry City supporter and long standing England fan Lloyd Powell is in the Ukraine to follow England during the European Championship.
Here is the fourth edition of his blog from the tournament.
It feels a bit like we lost a day. Travelling back over night 13 hours from Donetsk is a long old slog. It was a bit of a novelty on the way down but the way back seemed hard work.
Got into Kiev Wednesday morning, found hotel, had a shower and went out on the lash.
This itinerary was followed by quite a few English fans, many of whom had brought tickets to see Noel Gallagher who was playing in the city Wednesday night.
The gig, far from being packed out, went down a storm, less piss throwing than a british concert. But the older gallagher delivered with all the class and charm he has become accustomed to since he went it alone. The encore of Whatever, Little By Little and Don't Look Back In Anger nearly took the roof off!
Afterwards we headed to The fan zone to watch the germany game. it was packed with Swedish supporters who are likely to outnumber England at tonight's game.
As we enjoyed the sponsors ale, we discussed the previous night with lads who had arrived the day before. Much fun was had by everyone by all accounts and I felt like we had missed out on a night by choosing to do the overnight train instead of flying back up.
Anyway, it had been a long two days. Thursday would be enjoyed on the back of a decent nights kip in a 4 star hotel and air conditioned room!
The day and night before an England away game in a foreign country is memorable.
