We Played Some Good Stuff - Thorn

Coventry City caretaker Andy Thorn felt the Sky Blues played some good stuff despite losing 2-1 at Preston.

Speakiing to Sky Blue Player, Thorn said: "We didn't get going in the first half but credit to Preston because they got on to us. To to be fair to our boys we told them to be brave again and they kept trying and at half time we got into them a bit because we knew there was more to come from them.

"We were right as well because we came out after half time and weathered the storm, changed it to a diamond with Belly up top and we got a goal.

"We played some good stuff in the second half and when we started playing we felt comfortable and I don't think for a minute that Preston were ever in danger of running away with it.

"It's just disappointing because it's an error that has cost us that late goal. I didn't feel like we played as well as we can in the first half but then we got on the ball in the second half and we played well.

"The result won't affect that. I still want the boys to play and keep playing because that's what got us back into the game in the first place.

"The boys have taken things on board so far and yes, some of them will be away for a bit, but they will be back and this break now will give us a chance to polish a few things up.

"We'll pick ourselves up, get back on the training pitch and concentrate on playing."
