Coventry City defender Richard Wood has said that City who are still to win a match in League One, must cut out the defensive mistakes.

Speaking to club journalist Keiran Crowley at the club's weekly press conference, Wood said: “It has been really disappointing. We haven’t been at our best this season and hopefully we can improve soon.

“We have been working really hard on the training pitch and hopefully that will mean we can cut those mistakes out.

“They are silly school-boy mistakes really which shouldn’t be happening at this level. It shouldn’t be happening at all.

“We need to cut that out straight away and then we can start winning games. We know what we are capable of and we need to start putting that on the pitch.

“We just haven’t performed this year. We have seen glimpses of it but overall it hasn’t been good enough and we are working hard to put that right.”
